According to reports, Boosie has entered legal arbitration against right-wing operatives and lobbyists Jack Burkman and Jacob Wohl, claiming the duo took a massive payday but failed to deliver the promised clemency.

The plan seemed to be moving forward when, on New Year’s Day, Boosie allegedly received word from his team that Burkman and Wohl claimed a pardon had been officially signed by President Trump. However, when Boosie’s criminal defense attorney followed up with federal prosecutors to verify the system, there was absolutely no record of any signed pardon.

Typos, Fake Endorsements, and Broken Contracts

As the smoke cleared, the deal began to look like a complete mess. Investigations into the contract revealed glaring red flags:

• Inaccurate Dates: The paperwork reportedly included a bizarre refund clause with a deadline that predated when the contract was actually signed.
• Ghost Endorsements: The lobbyists claimed various political figures and influencers were backing Boosie’s pardon push. When pressed, multiple individuals completely denied ever knowing Burkman or Wohl, let alone endorsing the rapper’s clemency.

The contract explicitly stated that if a presidential pardon did not materialize, Boosie would be entitled to a partial refund of $300,000. With no pardon in sight and his money missing, Boosie is now fighting to retrieve the remaining half of his fee.

The Lobbyists Respond

Despite the legal pressure, Burkman & Associates are standing their ground. In a public statement regarding the arbitration, the firm claimed that “no provision to return half the fee was ever actually agreed to”. They insisted that they ran a “massive, highly tailored advocacy campaign across Congress, the executive branch and leading political influencers” and maintained that Boosie truly deserves a pardon.

Wohl and Burkman are no strangers to controversy—the pair previously faced serious legal trouble and pleaded guilty in 2022 to voter-targeting telecommunications fraud.

This marks the first major legal standoff against a pardon-broker firm in Trump’s current term, casting a harsh light on the unregulated, high-stakes economy of political clemency. As for Boosie, he’s making it clear that whether it’s on the streets or in a boardroom, nobody wipes him down for $300,000.
